With over 90 percent of its area covered with forest, Hinohara-mura is a treasure trove of nature, and the only true village in Tokyo, besides those on the remote Tokyo Islands. Splendid sites that can't be found in the city await you, such as the 1,531-meter high Mt. Mito, the tremendous wall of stone that is Kanoto Rock, the Hossawa Falls that freeze in winter, Kazuma hot spring, and the Akigawa Valley.
