Day 1
Mount Mitake
Enjoy fresh crisp air while hiking on Mount Mitake. Stopover at the Musashi Mitake Shrine (one of Japan's oldest) and small souvenir shops along the path.
Absorbing the scenery of mountains and greens
If you do not want to exhaust too much, you can opt to visit the locally-known spiritual tree, which takes about 30mins by hike. Turn around and absorb the scenery of mountains and
greens.
Fukasawa Chiisana Museum
Fukasawa Chiisana Museum has that new-zealand feel, thanks to its stone doors and miniatures along the path painted in red and white. There're also many dolls on display in the
museum and a cosy area to watch swarms of koi fishes.
Kotokuji
Take a stroll in the compound at Kotokuji Temple and embrace the warm welcome by these gigantic Ginkgo trees. Then, overlook the breathtaking mountain and village views from the
peak.
Seoto-no-yu Spa
Take a traditional Japanese bath, also known as onsen in Akigawa. There're usually foot bath located outside the onsen before you proceed to the tubs. Be treated with sights of
greens of Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park at the Akigawathe Keikoku Seoto-no-yu Spa and then cool down with a strawberry jelly platter.
Recharge before you're back to norm life
We heart vacations left alone, to reminisce and recharge before you're back to norm life. Tokyo has those hideouts that are still left as secrets to tourists and that made us even
more determined to visit, less the swarm of foreigns and only accepting local hospitality.
