The Tama Region, which includes Musashino City, Tachikawa City, Akishima City and Kodaira City, is an area of expansive natural beauty that is easily accessible from the center of Tokyo. It is drawing attention as a scenic hot spot. We recommend enjoying some relaxation time in a lush, green park. By spending time in nature with your favorite gourmet food, you can refresh both body and mind away from your usual busy routine. Okay, would you like to go to Tama for a solo picnic?

Park.1
Inokashira Park

Visit this lush central city park loved by locals for more than a hundred years

Created in 1917, the park is a popular spot for going on dates and taking walks. Within its vast area are thick stands of trees such as cherry, cypress and maple, and nature is everywhere. Recently, the pond's aquatic plants have been making a comeback thanks to efforts to improve the water quality, and the pond is arousing interest for resembling a famous painting. Inokashira Park is a fun place to visit even on your own. Breathe deeply and feel nature all around as your daily fatigue and frustrations melt away.

Picnic spots we recommend are the mixed forest, where peaceful time flows, or the fountain plaza, where the water surface gently quivers. There are benches, so you'll have no problem finding a place to spread your deli treats. Enjoy deli treats and sweets from "Carnival Kichijoji," a popular store for imported goods, food and delicatessen items, while being healed by the gentle sunlight and soft breezes of early summer. The combination is sure to have you smiling.

When you're satiated, head for Inokashira pond with its lush, swaying aquatic plants. Gazing at the row boats and swan boats going back and forth as you stroll around the pond will make you feel good and lift your spirits.

Take a ride in a swan boat as if lured by the delightful scene. If you lose yourself in pedaling, you'll feel refreshed as you glide through the water like a swan! As you feel the soft light reflected on the water surface and listen to the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, it will surely be a reward to your hardworking self if you fully take in the gentle nature.

At "Carnival Kichijoji," you can choose four delicatessen items for 500 yen with the store's delica 4 deal, or enjoy a pumpkin pudding take-out for 280 yen.
