The first day
Hamura Industrial Festival.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Hamura Station to the Hamura Industrial Festival..I have visited Japan 20 to 30 times in the past few years, and this is the first time I have participated in an event like the Industrial Festival.Just by looking at the name, you might assume it's a serious event. However, it's similar to the Japanese Products Exhibition we have in Taiwan but includes many more performances and amusement facilities that can be viewed and experienced for free. The overall scale is much larger, which explains its popularity among so many people!
Sayama tea, one of Japan's three most famous teas
It’s a good idea to follow the crowds at events like this!Produced in the hills of Sayama, one of the three most famous teas in Japan alongside Uji tea and Shizuoka tea, Sayama tea is a bargain at just 1,000 yen per bag. This deal attracts numerous local residents to line up for purchases. There's also a free tasting event on-site. After trying it, I immediately decided to join the queue myself!
Small lucky draw activity to celebrate the event with everyone
I lost control and bought a lot of things here and there is also a small lucky draw activity for everyone to participate in and celebrate the event. Thank you, friends, for your kind support!
I didn’t expect that the Regional Industry Festival would be such an interesting event~Unfortunately, it is only held once a year. Friends, if you happen to encounter it, don’t miss it!

Hamura Zoo
Our next stop was the Hamura Zoo, which is about a 15-minute walk away. The small hinterland here is very suitable for family outings.Guinea pigs, raccoons, Japanese chickens, owls, Chilean flamingos, great owls, macaws, Indian peacocks, rabbits, giraffes, white cranes, turtles, goats, Japanese monkeys, gibbons, mini pigs, lemurs, marmots Rat... If you want to see all these animals and experience all the facilities in the park, you may need to spend at least two or three hours, right?
Keep as souvenir
Each area of the park offers free postcards featuring pictures and information about the animals found there. You can send these to relatives and friends or keep them as souvenirs. I found this to be a very thoughtful touch!
Feeling inexplicably healed~
Watching these little animals eating, drinking, and walking around feels inexplicably healing~After staying in the park until about one o'clock in the afternoon, the two of us felt hungry and decided to go out to look for food! The park boasts a large green area with plenty of outdoor tables and chairs, making it ideal for picnics. Had we known about this sooner, we would have prepared and brought suitable food to enjoy there!
Green House
We originally planned to head back to the station for lunch, but the Blue House we passed along the way caught our eye, so we decided to go inside to see if we could dine there. The Blue House in Hamura has a large seating area, and even though there were a lot of people when we entered the store, we were seated successfully within 10 minutes.
The dining environment in the store was quite spacious and comfortable, and the meals were delicious and generous in portions. The rice was so delicious that I wanted to bring a bag of new rice back to Taiwan; that's how much I loved it!
