Day 1

Introduction

Introduction

The hustle and bustle of Shibuya, Roppongi, and Ikebukuro
A far cry from tourist-filled Asakusa and the like
Introducing a travel course of the Tama area of Tokyo,
Where you can take a break from the city center.
Bicycle Rental

Bicycle Rental

When you take the East exit of the Hakone-Gasaki Station,
You will find the place
where you can rent a bicycle.
The Mizuho area has
wide streets and not a lot of traffic,
so it's a great environment for cycling.
Sayamaike Park

Sayamaike Park

Our first stop is Sayamaike Park.
It's centered around several small ponds
that are perfect for a quick stroll
through the pretty landscape.
Sayama Shrine

Sayama Shrine

Many people believe that
Sayama Shrine formerly housed
the guardian deity of Hakonegasaki
Located at the top of a tall staircase,
people still come and go
to this small and quiet shrine to
make wished both small and large.
The Tea Garden

The Tea Garden

It's still a little too early for lunch,
so we headed out to view the tea fields that a city kid can only dream of.
We purchased a special tea
made from Mizuho tea leaves.
The flavor is much milder than regular green tea.
I tried a cup and loved it :)
Koshinkan

Koshinkan

The main building of Koshinkan is from the late Edo period.
It is an authentic modern commercial facility
that was used as a French restaurant in the Showa era 50s,
and in the 12th year of Heisei until now
it took on its current Koshinkan form.
Mizuho View Park

Mizuho View Park

After dinner, I headed up to Mizuho View Park for another walk.
It was a very clear day, so visibility was good.
We were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji in the distance.♡
Enpukuji Temple

Enpukuji Temple

Our last stop before heading to Hatonosu Valley was Enpukuji Temple, a Tokyo Metropolitan Government-designated Tangible Folk Cultural site.
The grounds were in full autumnal color.
The autumn colors fill you just by looking at them.

The autumn colors fill you just by looking at them.

Under the blue sky,
the red and yellow maple leaves
surround the light wooden buildings.
You can hear the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind
and the occasional sound of water falling somewhere,
I enjoyed the autumn atmosphere and returned to the station
and caught the train to Hatonosu.
