Day 1
Hatonosu Station
From Tokyo to Okutama, I went to Hatonosu Station first to drop my luggage off at the hotel I'd be staying at that
evening.
Lunch at Hatomi soba shop
Having lunch at a soba shop called Hatomi.
Piping hot soba
In this early winter season, in gloomy weather, a piping hot bowl of soba for lunch is the best.
The autumn leaves on both sides of Okutama River
Okutama River flows slowly amidst the autumn leaves on both sides, heading into the distance.
The beauty of the autumn leaves is so stunning that it seems out of this world.
It's really so beautiful that it seems out of this world.
Gently standing on the autumn leaves.
Standing gently on top, leaving behind the brilliance of this place.
Taking a bath at Mikawaya Onsen.
I passed by Mikawaya Onsen Guesthouse, and I thought, why not step in for a bath to warm my body up. This onsen is located near Okutama Station, just a 10-minute walk away.
I ordered a freshly brewed beer at Beer Cafe Vertere.
I got tired from walking, and ordered a glass of their freshly brewed beer along with crispy and tender fried chicken at
Beer Cafe Vertere near Okutama Station. In Tokyo Okutama, enjoying the autumn leaves outside the window adds to the
ambience.
Room at Hatanosu-so
I stayed at Hatonosu-so near Hatonosu Station in the evening. The hotel is in the best location in the area. The Okutama River and autumn leaves can be seen right outside the windows and balcony.
Dinner at Hatanosu-so
The dinner at Hatonosu-so that day was Western cuisine, and the taste was pretty good.
