Fall

Day 1

Shiofunekannon-ji

Shiofunekannon-ji

―Celebrate the fall of Spring at Shiofunekannon-ji Temple with eye-pampering treats, thanks to the Azalea Festival. Full blossoms drowned in red and pink are expected in May-July, certifying it as one of the most beautiful. Take a stroll and observe the tranquil serenity among a large standing buddha statue.
Mayugura

Mayugura

Restaurant Mayugura (near Oume station) serves all vegetarian cuisine. Surprisingly, the salad dressing and mushroom-filled rice tasted delicious and overwhelmed our expectations. The restaurant also offers a relaxing hammock rest upstairs and some arts display to ooze the ambience.

Go face to face with these big tanks that have been playing the role of storing and filtering. You can also see display wooden tanks from the Meiji period and uncover the source of quality water at an old well in the cave. Sake bottles are also shelved in dark corners, with some dated from 1999.
Complete the trip with a filling red-bean mochi, which also has doses of sake.
